The Genesis was Sega's second big system released in the U.S. and its popularity made Sega a big rival for Nintendo back in the 90's. Most of the success that the Genesis gained was through Sega's answer to Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog. The blue mascot caught everyone's attention and helped introduce gamers to some of the best titles around. Without a doubt, Genesis certainly did it. |
